Received from Akhila Bharata Kuchipudi Natya Kalamandali, Kuchipudi Village
Recently, this April 2015, A Memorandum Of Understanding was signed for Kuchipudi dance training and education between Krishna University, Andhra Pradesh and Akhila Bharata Kuchipudi Natya Kalamandali of Kuchipudi Village. Mr Kesava Prasad of ABKNKM informed that the deserving candidates would be offered suitable scholarships. ABKNKM is over 32 years and is founded by Kuchipudi scholar Sri Kesava Prasad Pasumarthi from Kuchipudi village belonging to the traditional family.
The courses are offered in Kuchipudi village in the premises belonging to Kuchipudi legend Dr Vempati Chinna Satyam which is also near Sri Ramalingeswara Swamy Bala Tripura Sundhari Temple.
Sri Kesava Prasad mentioned that learning Kuchipudi in the traditional village in the vicinity of the famous temple would make the students feel the divinity and values of the dance form and so would benefit the society at large.
The MoU enables offering of Certificate, Diploma, in Kuchipudi and Sutradhar Courses.
